Gold Filled Chain
Gold Filled Chain
I create the chain for my rosaries using 14k Gold Filled wire. The links are formed individually, and the wire is strong and durable. Unlike many rosaries on the market, which have thin and weak links, this won’t readily bend or break - it can hold up through many, many prayers. Your rosary comes with a polishing cloth to keep your sterling silver shiny and clean, and a storage bag too!
This 14k Gold Filled rosary center has an image of the Holy Family on the front with “Holy Family Pray For Us” inscribed on the front. The back has the 14k GF hallmark to indicate the piece is gold filled. Measures at 3/4” by 1/2”.
Gold Filled offers the luxurious appearance of a solid gold piece at an affordable price, and the metal is quite durable and strong. “Gold Filled” means that the core of the piece (be it a center, crucifix, or chain) is made of brass, and there is a thick layer of 14k gold bonded to it. Gold Filled pieces have a much thicker plating of gold than “gold plated” pieces, and the gold color remains far longer. Gold Filled pieces can retain their gold for years, even decades, and once the gold has worn off it still has a gold color due to brass having a yellow hue. Gold Plated items, on the other hand, retain their gold plating for a short period of time, usually a year or two, and the underlying metal is usually sterling silver, so there is an obvious color change when the gold plating wears away.
Other Gold Filled pieces are available by request, send me a message on my Contact page if you’d like images of the other options! Some of these include Our Lady of Mount Caramel, Mater Dolorosa, Divine Mercy, Guardian Angel, and St. Christopher.
Listing is for Gold Filled chain to complete the rosary. Once you’ve chosen your beads, crucifix, and center, then choose wire or silk to complete the rosary. Once you’ve selected all your pieces and placed your order, I’ll create your custom rosary and ship it within two weeks!
