This time of year, I like to harvest raspberry leaves. Where I harvest, they grow alongside blackberry and mulberry plants, and to many, these are all quite similar plants and one can have trouble telling them apart!
If you have difficulty telling the difference between blackberry and black raspberry plants, have no fear! They have several distinguishing features, including leaf shape and color, stem shape, thorn size, and the interior appearance of the berries.
Here, I’ve included a link to a site that offers a great side-by-side comparison of blackberry and black raspberry plants. Take note of the differences between these two plants, and next time you’re outdoors, see if you can correctly identify them!
